Reenergizing

I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've sat down to relax since Friday.  The past few days have been filled with sanding, priming, painting, painting some more, cleaning, and trying to still be a mother to three energetic and curious kids.  My husband and I decided to redo all the molding, trim, and doors in the house.  I also decided to add a fresh coat of paint on the walls. What a job! And we still have so much to do.  Then on to redoing the kitchen.

Definitely need to finish painting...I'm scared of heights so getting up on the ladder to get the high places might have to wait a few days.  Or maybe I should just leave it like this?

Putting in the molding was a bonding experience for these three generations of men in our family.  This little man of mine was loving the time with his Papa and Daddy.

This is the state of my french doors right now.  Uggh, I should be finishing them right now since it is nap time for my youngest.  But my hands hurt so bad...I don't even want to think about picking up another paint brush for at least an hour.

Hoping to get some doors on this closet tonight so I can cover up all my arts and crafts and laundry stuff.  But I love the way the white trim lights up my hallway!

A note about the power tools.  This is my first time to ever use power tools.  Darn, I felt sexier using power tools than I ever have wearing heels and make up!  And I could tell that my hubby loved it too!

All this work has left me exhausted.  Physically and mentally.  My training has taken a back seat.  I guess it was a blessing in disguise since my body was telling me that I needed a break.  I have been trying to fit in some runs when I can.  Unfortunately, with all this work, last night's run was 6 miles at 10 p.m and then home to paint until 2 a.m.  NOT what is best for my health and well being.

I guess you could say that I'm in need of some reenergizing.  One of my favorite places to go for some good healthy energy is New Seasons Market.  I could spend hours in there.  Smelling candles, sampling good coffee, shopping for fresh produce, perusing the beauty creams and natural product.  Everything about it (besides the prices) make me feel energized.  Seriously, I could see myself getting a job there someday.

Here are a few things that I brought home from my trip to New Seasons.  Definitely things that make me happy and give me energy!

New Candles.  New Seasons has the BEST candles.

Fresh flowers.  Okay, so these are almost dead but usually I would have picked up fresh flowers.

Salmon cakes, lemon quinoa, spicy guacamole with Blue Chips...Part of dinner for tonight.  This is surely energizing since it means not making much for dinner!  More time to paint and hit the gym.

Some Kale to use in some healthy shakes!

What are some things or a place that is energizing to you when you need a recharge?  Emotionally, physically, mentally or spiritually.
